There’s a moment before every convention when time stretches. You prepare. You plan. You try to imagine the conversations, the people, and the overall atmosphere.

And then, poof, you’re there.

Standing in the middle of it.

That was WonderCon ‘26 for us. We arrived with something new: with a stronger booth and with the evolution of The Seven Galaxies Chronicles (aka SGC).

You could feel it immediately: the shift, the recognition, and that quiet spark of curiosity that turned into excitement. Then the doors opened, and it was like the floodgates lifted. Everything came alive.

Friday (aka Day #1)

From the first hours, something felt different from the previous years. People weren’t just passing by. They were seeking us out. SGC was right there: on badges, in conversations, in the air. Suddenly, we were no longer introducing the story. You already knew it. Or at least… you wanted to. By the end of the day, we were energized, slightly breathless, and very aware that the adventure was only the beginning.

Saturday (aka Day #2)

The next day arrived with a sudden surge. The tantalizing scents of food trucks enveloped us. The excited cacophony of the attendees created its unique background music. Long lines snaked everywhere. The tables were full of goodies. Constant movement. Not a moment to waste.

Everyone loved our new pins, stickers, and shirts. But more than that. I felt a connection with all of you through laughter and our love of sci-fi and fantasy.

And the questions were one of my favorite parts.

“Is this a movie?” (Working on it.)

“When can we watch the show?” (Soon, I hope.)

“Is it a video game?” (Also in progress.)

“How are you everywhere?” (Magic… obviously.)

There was something beautiful about those moments. Because beneath every question was the same thing: curiosity turning into belief and joy. We were building something. And you felt it. We even had an unexpected visit from David Dastmalchian, which felt surreal, humbling, and honestly… just fun. He spun the wheel. He played along. That kind of moment stays with you.

Then came the Masquerade. And if there is one word for it, it’s this: awe. Hundreds of hours poured into costumes. Courage stitched into every design. So many talented individuals stepped onto that stage not just to perform but also to be seen. Ashley Eckstein brought incredible energy to the night, lifting the entire room. For a few hours, you could experience the magic that occurs when creativity ceases to seek permission and dreams become a reality. It was electric.

Sunday (aka Day #3)

The last day began early, with a live interview on KTLA5 News. There was excitement and pressure in those minutes of waiting to get in front of the camera. But Erin (dressed as Princess Peach and full of lively energy) made it feel effortless. While Brenda captured it all with precision and care.

Then something unexpected happened.

People came back. Readers we met Friday. New fans from Saturday. They returned with their friends and family, wanting one more moment before it ended.

That’s when it hits you.

This isn’t just a booth.

It’s not just a story.

It’s a growing community of people.

And then, just like that, it was over. It always feels too fast. It’s as if you’re trying to hold onto something that simply won’t stay put.
There’s a quiet ache when it ends. But also something else. Gratitude. Energy. Renewal. Meeting you and talking, laughing, and sharing stories with you never drains me. It restores.

And that is why we come back. Every time.

Can’t wait to see you in 2027!
